SEKIAI Masaaki (1912-2004) had been active as a painter in the north eastern district of China from 1938 to 1946, such as participating in the founding of Huang Tu Po art association. He was also an essayist and a haiku poet, having close ties with novelist DAN Kazuo and was involved in the literary circle in Japan after the war.This will be his first retrospective in a public museum.
