The Unknown World of Yasse TABUCHI

July 5, 2014 - September 15, 2014

TABUCHI Yasukazu (Yasse Tabuchi/ 1921-2009) is an artist who continued working in the front line based in France. A major retrospective of his works was held at our museum in Hayama in 2006. After the artist's death in France in 2009, his watercolors and prints were donated by the bereaved family. Commemorating this donation, the world of Tabuchi Yasukazu is surveyed through approximately 100 works by the artist together with prints by other artists, which Tabuchi collected and through which he gained inspirations. Additional oil paintings and other works by Tabuchi are included from the museum collection.
