Helene Schjerfbeck : Reflections

January 10 - March 27, 2016



Helene Schjerfbeck (1862-1946) is a leading Finnish artist, who was born in Helsinki. After studying in Paris, she returned to her homeland and continued to work there. Commemorating the 70th anniversary of her death, this exhibition looks back on her oeuvre, which transformed significantly from realism in the late 19th century to introspective works in the early 20th century.
