In art created by mankind, hito [man] is the most intimate yet most mysterious subject, which can be both noble and tragic. How have modern artists tackled this eternal theme? Various aspects of the image of “man” will be examined through paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints from the museum collection.

• Students under junior high school age are no charge. Disabled visitors are also no charge.
• "Family Communication Day" - reduced entry for all family members (except for 65 and over) accompanied by children under 18.
