Presently based in New York, Ilya Kabakov (1933 -) is an internationally active contemporary artist. He was an "unofficial" artist in the former Soviet Union who started making his living as a illustration book creator from the end of 1950s under socialist regime. This will be an introduction to the superbly imaginative world of his illustration books.
