Architect Antonin Raymond (1888 - 1976) arrived in Japan with his wife Noemi (1889 - 1980) in 1920 and became a pioneer of modern architecture. He had also contributed greatly in advocating the aesthetics of the Japanese life style to the rest of the world. This will be their first retrospective organized by Japan-U.S. collaboration.
