About “Dialogue with Giorgio Morandi: from De Chirico to Fontana”
Due to the 11 March earthquake and the reality of Fukushima nuclear plant, with great regret we have to inform that we have decided to cancel the exhibition “Dialogue with Giorgio Morandi: from De Chirico to Fontana,” which we planned with Toyota Municipal Museum of Art and Tottori Prefectural Museum in the previous schedule of 2011.
Since the accident, the reality of Fukushima nuclear plant has turned out to be much worse than it was formerly reported. And we are not sure of its improvement in a short term. In addition, we have known that the planned works, which compose an essential part of the exhibition, have to be substantially modified if the schedule is changed.
Thus taking account of the total situation, we have reached the conclusion that we should withdraw our present exhibition project.
We deeply appreciate cooperation and expectation that many people have provided for our project. Because of it, this result is indeed regrettable. Nevertheless we appreciate your understanding.
