The official catalog of the exhibition “FIJIMAKI Yoshio: Centennial of His Birth” starting on Saturday January 21 is on sale at our museum shop in KAMAKURA.
As the special premium only at the museum shop, a DVD featuring his Hakubyo-emaki (plain-drawing scrolls) will accompany the catalog. Focusing mainly on the Sumida River, Fujimaki depicted landscapes of Tokyo in the 1930s, a decade after the Great Kanto Earthquake, in his very long Hakubyo-emaki. The DVD contains animated images of all four scrolls.
