Grand Reopening of the Kamakura Annex – Modern Art Revisited

About the Exhibition

The newly refurbished Kamakura Annex will be carrying on the history and tradition of the former Kamakura building that closed in 2016, inheriting its ambition of regarding art from around the world with new eyes, while also making a fresh start. This exhibition introduces the works of modern art such as Kishida Ryusei’s A Little Girl (Reiko Standing), Koga Harue’s Make-up Outside the Window and Matsumoto Shunsuke’s Standing Figure , also presenting a range of works from early-modern to contemporary. We will be holding events and displaying archive materials to commemorate the Kamakura Annex’s new beginning.

Admissions
Adults: 600 yen (500 yen)
College Students or Under 20: 450 yen (300 yen)
65 and over: 300 yen
High School Students: 100 yen
Junior High School Students or under 16: Free

* Prices in ( ) indicate group (over 19 persons) discount tickets.
* A person with disabilities and one accompanying caretaker are admitted free of charge upon presenting Disabled Person's Handbook or an equivalent government-issued identification.
* "Family Communication Day" offers a discount for all group (except those 65 or over) accompanying children under 18 on the first Sunday of every month.
* Free admission day - October 12, 13, 14, 22 and November 3, 2019
