About the Exhibition

England and Ireland have enjoyed co-prosperity within the British Isles. Artists have lyrically represented the sublimity of nature and the workings of human beings while respecting each other’s culture. In conjunction with the Francis Bacon exhibition, the arts from the two countries Bacon lived in are introduced. There are works by Henry Moore, who led abstract expressions; William Blake and Richard Hamilton, who treated literature as their subject; Louis le Brocquy, etc.
