Forms in Space: from Alberto Giacometti to Tadaaki Kuwayama
About the Exhibition
We could see contemporary sculpture as investigating the diversity of forms in space. Since its opening in 1951, The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama has taken an active role in accumulating, exhibiting and preserving contemporary sculpture and three-dimensional artworks. In this exhibition, we commemorate this seventy-year long endeavour, revisiting the museum’s sculptural collection through the lens of nine different themes. We hope it will serve as the chance to feel the rich dialogue between all kinds of forms and the space surrounding us.
