About the Exhibition
Grace, which NAITO Rei (b. 1961) presented at her solo exhibition at our Kamakura museum in 2009, was acquired by the museum and put on permanent display overlooking the Heike Pond until the main building was closed in 2016. Thereafter, while taking in the space and nature in our Hayama museum, the artist has been pondering the stance of this work. It is seven years since Grace was last shown. Together with works displayed at the solo exhibition in 2009 and new works, a new “Tout animal est dans le monde comme de l’eau à l’intérieur de l’eau” will emerge in Hayama.
