SAKAI Yukina’s video work “In the empty exhibition rooms” is available on the Web (until September 30, 2020)

In the empty exhibition rooms, a video work by SAKAI Yukina, currntly on display at Gallery 1/ HAYAMA as collection exhibition “From Van Gogh to Nakazono,” is available on the web for a limited period from 5 to 30 September, 2020.

In the empty exhibition rooms is one of her performances for Gaze and Handwriting (Choreogpaphy for the Exhibition Room) , which was presented in the exhibition “Beyond the Visible” at The Museum of Modern Art, Hayama in 2019. Starting out with the task of ‘Collecting’ -sketching and noting the movements of people inside the exhibition space-, Sakai created choreographed persormances for each of the four galleries during the period. After the deinstallation of the exhibition she made a closed performance “In the empty exhibition rooms,” to be released as a video recording at a later date.
 
Exhibition “Museum Collection: From Van Gogh to Nakazono” is open until September 22, 2020 (Tuesday/ Holiday). We are looking forward to your visiting the museum.
