Architect OTAKA Masato and Kamakura Annex

27 May - 3 September 2017

The Kamakura Annex (opened in 1984) is in stark contrast to the feel of The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura (closed in 2016) by SAKAKURA Junzo. Prior to the temporary closure of the Annex, its 33-year-long history is looked back on through the collection and materials with focus on its architect OTAKA Masato (1923-2010) from the viewpoint of his relation with MAYEKAWA Kunio, and HIJIKATA Teiichi.
