YOROZU Tetsugoro 1885-1927

YOROZU Tetsugoro (1885-1927) stood out prominently among the artists of the Taisho era. Along with representative works such as Nude Beauty, this exhibition also focuses on his India ink paintings. The changes of his artistic expressions and the relativity of his works to other paintings of the time are considered through over 300 works.

Architect OTAKA Masato and Kamakura Annex

The Kamakura Annex (opened in 1984) is in stark contrast to the feel of The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura (closed in 2016) by SAKAKURA Junzo. Prior to the temporary closure of the Annex, its 33-year-long history is looked back on through the collection and materials with focus on its architect OTAKA Masato (1923-2010) from the viewpoint of his relation with MAYEKAWA Kunio, and HIJIKATA Teiichi.
