Born in Tatebayashi, Gunma, FUJIMAKI Yoshio (1911-1935?) suddenly went missing at age 24 leaving works that cast striking splendor on the world of sosaku hanga [creative prints] in Japan. Based on the currently known works and reference materials of his lifetime, we shall trace the artist from his birth to the day he disappeared.
In addition to woodcuts printed during his lifetime and the huge ink brush drawing, there are approximately 100 works including related materials.
