Nishimura Isaku (1884-1963) was one of representative men of culture of Taisho-era Japan. This exhibition introduces the activities of Nishimura mainly before World War II, raging over various fields such as architecture, painting, photography, ceramics, design, education and writing. His works are a miraculous manifestation of the realm of free living that Japan was able to achieve in the modern age.
