The future relation between museum architecture and society is explored through 25 architectures and projects proposed by leading international architects such as Ando Tadao, Daniel Libeskind and Herzog & De Meuron. Over 300 pieces of plans, drawings, photos and models as well as some unrealized but inventive projects are presented.
This international travelling exhibition is a project of the Art Centre Basel, Switzerland and is coordinated under the direction of Suzanne Greub. Scientific curator and editor of the catalogue are Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani and Angeli Sachs, from the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich.
