The Shirakaba School consisted of members who took part in the founding of the magazine Shirakaba in 1910. They enthusiastically wrote art critiques and introduced masters of Western art such as Cézanne, Renoir, Matisse, Rembrandt, and Rodin in Japan. Focusing on the art they esteemed, this exhibition presents their various activities, which marked a turning point in modern Japanese art.
