KOGA Harue (1895-1933) was active as a Western-style painting artist from the late Taisho period to the early Showa period.
His career, which lasted only twenty or so years before he succumbed to an illuness, is traced chronologically in four chapters divided by turning points in the artist’s career. While retracing the course he followed as an artist, it shall be also look back on the development of the poems he composed with focus on their relevance to his painting.
Together with the reference materials, altogether 230 works are on display.
