Shinohara Ushio

2005 fiscal year

440 yen (incl. tax)

Born in 1932 in Tokyo, Shinohara was the leading figure in the revolutionary art movement “Neo-Dada Organizers” formed in the 1960s.
After moving to New York in 1969, Shinohara continued to develop his dynamic expression with heightened enthusiasm as seen in his “Boxing Painting”. This exhibition reassembles his works from the early 1960s, when he first struck the art scene with his unconventional expression, till today.
