YANASE Masamu 1900-1945
A Retrospective
February 11 – March 23, 2014
YANASE Masamu (1900-1945) was born in Ehime and moved to Fukuoka where he spent his teens there.
After moving his base to Tokyo, he joined modern art movements such as the Miraiha-Bijutsu Kyokai(Futurist Art Society)and Mavo.
Through retracing his trails in the three cities of Matsuyama, Kitakyushu, and Tokyo, we shall look back on the full view of this artist.
